Location: 

The Head of Foundation will lead the strategic direction, operational management, and program delivery of the foundation, ensuring alignment with the mission to create measurable social impact. This role requires a seasoned leader who can leverage deep experience in the social sector, build partnerships, drive operational excellence, and implement transformative programs in education, healthcare, livelihoods, and disability.

Key Responsibilities:


Organizational Leadership and Strategy

  • Define and implement strategic goals in alignment with the foundation's mission to maximize social impact across multiple sectors.

  • Actively participate in organizational decision-making as a business partner, providing insights to refine operational and strategic plans.

  • Design and monitor a roadmap for program scalability and sustainability, aligning with community impact, governance, and operational efficiency.

  • Oversee all aspects of program implementation, ensuring each initiative meets established goals and delivers tangible outcomes.

Program Development and Management

  • Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale programs in education, healthcare, and disability sectors, ensuring quality standards.

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and key stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and reach.

  • Implement and oversee rigorous monitoring and evaluation frameworks, ensuring that programs deliver consistent impact aligned with organizational goals.

Stakeholder Engagement and Fundraising

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key donors, partners, and government representatives to secure funding and foster long-term support.

  • Lead fundraising efforts, identify new funding sources, and develop sustainable revenue streams.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports for the board and funders, detailing program outcomes, financial performance, and impact metrics.

People and Culture Development

  • Lead talent acquisition and development initiatives, ensuring recruitment of skilled professionals aligned with the foundations values and mission.

  • Drive a culture of excellence, empathy, and continuous improvement, nurturing team cohesion and motivation.

  • Develop training and professional growth opportunities, focusing on upskilling team members and fostering leadership across all levels.

Operational and Financial Oversight

  • Manage the foundations budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial goals.

  • Develop and implement organizational policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to support operational effectiveness.

  • Regularly review funding requirements and key metrics to support the efficient operation of programs, ensuring accountability and transparency in reporting to the board.

Research and Advocacy

  • Oversee research projects to inform program improvements and foster innovation, contributing to thought leadership in the sectors served by the foundation.

  • Advocate for the foundation's mission and work, representing the organization at public forums, conferences, and with key stakeholders to enhance visibility and credibility.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Management, Education, or a related field.

  • At least 20 years of experience, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role within the social sector.

  • Proven track record in managing large-scale programs, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Demonstrated expertise in governance, operational efficiency, and impact-driven program design.

  • Strong experience in people management, with skills in talent development, mentoring, and building cohesive teams.

  • Proficiency in financial management, including budget oversight, fund allocation, and reporting.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
