This leadership role is designed for a highly experienced professional passionate about driving large-scale, impactful philanthropic initiatives. The Associate Director will manage complex projects, build strategic partnerships, and contribute to the design and execution of innovative philanthropic programs. This position requires a balance of strategic vision, stakeholder engagement, and operational expertise to lead transformational change.
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Program Leadership:
Lead and execute multi-year philanthropic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Define and implement long-term strategies, KPIs, and impact metrics to drive results.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, donors, and senior stakeholders, shaping their philanthropic portfolios for maximum impact.
Build and maintain partnerships with non-profits, government agencies, and international organizations to scale efforts.
Program Design and Scaling:
Develop and scale innovative programs that address systemic challenges and enhance sector capacity.
Ensure sustainability and effectiveness of programs through continuous evaluation and improvement.
Fundraising and Resource Mobilization:
Oversee fundraising initiatives, secure multi-million-dollar funding, and cultivate relationships with existing and potential donors.
Identify new funding opportunities and craft compelling pitches to philanthropic partners.
Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.
Mentor team members, ensuring effective performance management and talent retention.
Thought Leadership and Representation:
Represent the organization at national and international forums, contributing to thought leadership and advocating for systemic change.
Publish insights and resources to strengthen the narrative around philanthropy and its impact.
Candidate Requirements:
14+ years of experience in the development consulting, management consulting, or relevant fields, with exposure to multi-stakeholder engagement.
Proven ability to lead large, impactful projects and define long-term priorities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage and influence high-net-worth individuals and senior stakeholders.
Strong collaboration and partnership-building abilities.
Extensive experience managing complex, multi-year projects, including budgeting, timeline management, and resource allocation.
Expertise in designing efficient processes to support program implementation.
Track record of securing significant funding and developing donor relationships.
Ability to identify and pitch new funding opportunities effectively.
A proactive, results-driven approach with the ability to handle multiple priorities and innovate solutions.
Commitment to building scalable systems and processes for organizational growth.
Strong commitment to nurturing talent and growing high-performing teams.
Ability to inspire and lead change within an organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in social sciences, public policy, management, or related fields is required.
